Day 39

Cecilia 1 day

Six weeks ago was my second blog post. I somehow managed to stretch "I cooked supper" into a few hundred words, and felt it was worth posting. I had nothing to say, but all kinds of time to say it. This brings us to today.

On September 9, 2016 at half-past exhausted AM Cecilia Meghan Rempel was born. She weighed a few pounds less than she does now, and was about the size of a baby. Any time I've thought about writing another post I've either chose napping, or had so much to say that I didn't know where to begin. Now that things have calmed down a bit, and I've forgotten half of what I would have posted, I thought I'd give this another go. Here is some of what I've learned.

A blind dad's guide to cooking almost anything

When I found out Michelle was pregnant I made a list of things I’d like to accomplish with my last nine months of freedom. the first and most important thing on the list was learn to cook. There are a lot of great blind cooks out there. One even made it on master chef, which is the ultimate goal of at least 99% of all cooks maybe. Let’s just say I had a ways to go.

Any day now.

Michelle and Keith

Today is the day I have been looking forward to, with varying amounts of fear and excitement for the past 9 months. Michelle and I are expecting a baby girl.
